About Wungening Aboriginal Corporation - Wungening is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation delivering counselling, education, advocacy and support services including drug and alcohol, family violence support and accommodation, adult justice services and earlier intervention family support services.
The Service
Centrecare Incorporated and Wungening Aboriginal Corporation have established a metropolitan wide partnership in delivering Youth Justice Services aimed at providing the best possible outcomes for at risk young people and the West Australian community. The Role
As Youth Worker, working within a fully integrated team of innovative agencies, you will play an integral role in providing high quality intake, assessment, and support services for young people and their family’s participating in the BeyondYJS Service, which will involve outreach services to young people at their place of living in the community or in custody. This is a permanent full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, worked over 5 days.
The rotating roster being Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday. Hours will be either 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm. Saturday hours when rostered on are 9:00am – 5:00pm.

This multi-faceted role will provide you with plenty of opportunity for variety in your work as well as the challenge of being part of an exciting program. In addition to supporting young people to lead productive, law-abiding lives in the community.
You will also be actively engaging with the wider community on a regular basis, liaising with the Department of Justice, service providers providing Youth Justice Services and other services to source and secure options and outcomes for young people participating in this program.
