The Role

Exciting opportunity to join our specialist Gambling Help WA counselling team working with individuals, couples and families affected by problem gambling. Provide one to one or group sessions offering a supportive environment to talk about the impact that gambling has on their lives as well as strategies to learn new ways in managing the behaviour. Working 9am to 5pm during the week and 12pm to 8pm one evening a week. 

Selection Criteria

  • Recognised tertiary level qualification in Psychology, Social Work or other related disciplines. 
  • Demonstrated experience in intake and assessment.  
  • Knowledge and experience in brief intervention counselling.
  • Knowledge and experience in treatments of addiction.
  • Group facilitation.
  • The ability to work autonomously with strong professional boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to network, negotiate and liaise with external agencies.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • National Police Certificate.
  • Current drivers' licence.
