About Centrecare
Centrecare is a not-for-profit organisation with just over 300 employees and is committed to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation and training services in over 11 locations across the Perth metropolitan, Goldfields and South West regions.
The Role
Centrecare is looking for an experienced Financial Counsellor to be based in our Perth office. This role is primarily to provide an inclusive service appropriate for people in a broad range of circumstances and provide confidential counselling support and educational programs for people experiencing financial difficulties.
We aim to result in a client’s financial problem/s being partially or fully resolved; a client being able to make informed decisions on the best course of action to resolve their financial difficulties; and/or a client’s improved ability to manage their financial affairs in the future.
The Person
Our ideal candidate will have experience in providing Financial Counselling and support to individuals and their families who are experiencing financial anxiety and stress. We are seeking someone with fantastic communication skills who can work autonomously and remain motivated and driven to provide community education and information with a focus on empowerment and resilience to your community. You will be proactive in engaging with other services as well as hard to engage individuals, to ensure maximum reach of our service within the community.
