This position is based at our Midland office and provides leadership across Centrecare's metropolitan based Family and Domestic Violence programs.  The portfolio includes Men's Behaviour Change Programs, Partner Contact Services, Specialised Family Violence and Brighter Pathways Children's Counselling service that support safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour change.

About the Role

This role provides leadership and oversight across Centrecare's metropolitan Family and Domestic Violence programs, ensuring high-quality, evidence-informed and contractually compliant service delivery.

 

You will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering office-based and outreach programs including Men's Behaviour Change Programs, Partner Contact services, and Family and Domestic Violence counselling services.  The role requires strong leadership in therapeutic practice, risk management, staff development and stakeholder engagement.

 

We are seeking a values-driven leader with experience in complex human services who can support staff, drive continuous improvement and achieve positive outcomes for clients, families and communities.

 

A few specifics

  • Lead and support counsellors and practitioners delivering office-based and outreach Family and Domestic Violence services across multiple locations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight in relation to risk assessment, safety planning and complex client matters.
  • Support staff delivering counselling, group programs, behaviour change interventions and community education activities.
  • Facilitate management supervision, team meetings and professional development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with funding bodies, referral partners and community stakeholders.
  • Monitor contractual performance, reporting requirements and service outcomes.

 

What we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative leader with a strong understanding of Family and Domestic Violence practice and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary therapeutic team.

 

To be successful, you will need:

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling and/or related disciplines.
  • Minimum five years' experience working within the Family and Domestic Violence sector.
  • Previous leadership experience within therapeutic, counselling or community services.
  • Demonstrated experience working with victim-survivors of Family and Domestic Violence and/or individuals using violence.
  • Sound understanding of Family and Domestic Violence risk assessment, safety planning and perpetrator accountability frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating or overseeing group-based therapeutic interventions (highly regarded).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to support, mentor and develop staff while maintaining a positive team culture.
  • Current WA Driver's Licence.
  • Current National Police Clearance.
  • Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain one.
