The Role

The purpose of the position is to provide a range of mediation, early intervention and prevention, community education and support services for the Family Relationships Centre (FRC) in a professional and ethical manner that reflects the Ethos and practice of Centrecare and FRC program requirements.

A Few Specifics

  • Undertake mediation and case coordination with couples, families and individuals using approaches that are appropriate to program requirements.
  • Assess, identify and develop interventions that both acknowledge and offer solutions where power imbalance is a serious issue.
  • Assess, identify and develop interventions where Family and Domestic Violence are identified.
  • Contribute to the planning, provision and evaluation of community education and support in accordance with Centrecare and FRC program requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate files, records, data collection and complete other required documentation within Agency policies and procedures.

Selection Criteria

  • Recognised tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Currently registered as a family dispute resolution practitioner.
  • Experience in providing counselling to individuals, couples and families.
  • Experience in Primary Dispute Resolution (mediation)
  • Knowledge of Child Inclusive Practice is desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Available to work up to 2 evenings per week
