About Centrecare

Centrecare is a not-for-profit organisation with over 300 employees and is committed to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation and training services in over 11 locations across the Perth metropolitan, Goldfields and South West regions.

The Service

The Frontline Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) Initiative delivers trauma-informed support to adult and child victim-survivors of family, domestic and sexual violence across regional, rural and remote communities. The service prioritises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and communities. The program provides timely, client-centred responses to people experiencing or at risk of FDSV, including risk assessment, safety planning and holistic support. Staff work alongside individuals and families to promote safety, healing and social wellbeing, offering counselling, education, advocacy and referral pathways. The service also connects clients to crisis, refuge and specialist supports where required and facilitates referrals to perpetrator intervention services to support positive behaviour change.

The Role

Following comprehensive screening and assessment of the individual needs of the client, the worker will provide referrals for counselling; provide education, advocacy and support for adults and children who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence; provide referrals for perpetrators of FDV to programs that will facilitate positive change.
