About Centrecare

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll lead the operational delivery of finance services and day-to-day management of the Finance Team.  You’ll ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, statutory compliance and effective financial operations that enable strategic decision-making.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, credit card reconciliation, fleet and fixed asset management.
  • Ensuring compliance with payroll, superannuation, GST, FBT, and other statutory obligations.
  • Coordinating annual external audits and liaising with auditors.
  • Monitoring monthly expenditure against budgets and analysing variances.
  • Preparing funding applications, tenders, and financial evaluations.
  • Providing leadership, supervision, and capability development for the Finance Team.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Advanced financial management skills: budgeting, forecasting, analysis, interpretation.
  • Demonstrated operational leadership within a finance function.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance (CPA, CA, IPA, or working towards).
  • Strong understanding of financial governance and compliance in a not-for-profit environment.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
